WELCOME TO 2021!

OHHH LORT.

We said 2021 was going to be all new beginnings. Totally different than 2020. All the happy things and times.

Well, here in the Dallas area, we've already weathered snovid. Yeah, it's where there's a snowstorm in the middle of a pandemic and you can't leave (for real) and you have no heat, lights or water. Snovid. It sucked.

HOWEVER; in the spirit of the "all new things"....let me introduce our new studio! (outside photo taken at the very end of snovid. At this point, the studio had power but no water....we're ALL GOOD NOW THOUGH!

NEW STUDIO SPACE!!!!!!

Yes, still in Plano but much bigger and much better and I'm so excited I can't stand it! We've already done a number of shoots here even though renovations are still happening. It really makes it fun to create beautiful images while the other side is chaos! LOL! I mean, the laughter during these shoots is unlike no other...

So....to share the space. Nope, there's not a sign yet. Nope, it hasn't been painted yet. Working on getting that drop ceiling out but Nope, it's not done yet. The shooting side. (henceforth shall be known as "the room where it happens" Thank you, Hamilton) is good. Headshots and personal branding and kids and maternity have already been done. Hair and makeup has already happened in the dressing room.... magic has happened, people!

The green side, well, it's still green. There's still renovation stuff sitting around. Things are moving forward but I'm an artist and well, it takes me a minute to get the right VIBE everywhere! (The green side will not be green for long....trust me....)

I can't even express how exciting it's been to get in here, create, schedule workshops, renovate and just live my dreamy artsy life. It's the BEST. I can't wait to share with you how the studio grows and changes! Changes are happening quickly and something changes daily around here. The drop ceiling tiles are out, the frame of the drop ceiling has begun to come out, the hallway by the dressing room and dark room has already been painted... The floor will be painted in all of those rooms... the walls in the green room will be painted. New lighting put in, floor here epoxy....ceilings will be painted...

And while it moves into its beautiful true self of a studio, we will be creating amazing portraits all along the way.

You can see the two big rooms and the dressing room, other than the bathrooms, the darkroom is all you're missing. And that room is going to take a minute to set up.

Oh.

Did I mention the graffiti wall? Yeah! This way everyone who gets photographed here will get to sign the wall! I am telling you guys....book a shoot....book a lot of shoots! It's going to be so fun to come in and watch the studio blossom!

Still in Plano, only we're actually easier to get to now! We are in a shopping center, which is FABULOUS, but the studio, like its owner, is a bit twisted and faces its own way. So yes, shopping center, but I face the park across the street! So a big, open, creative space where I can see the sunrise over the studio and see the sunset out the front windows. I tell you guys, I could NOT be more excited!
